Priced a new kitchen and couldn't justify it?
Your kitchen is solid oak or maple, probably from the 1990s. Everything still works. It just looks dated. Maybe you priced a new kitchen and couldn't justify it, or the house is about to go on the market. Most of our cabinet customers almost replaced their kitchen first. If yours is thermofoil or laminate, we'll say so at the estimate: paint won't bond to plastic for the long term, and we'll explain your other options.

Doors to the booth, boxes in place
Your doors and drawers spend most of the job in our booth. Here's what happens there, in your kitchen, and on the day they come back.
Estimate and written quote
Marcus or Jordan, our estimator, looks at your cabinets and measures. Within 24 hours you get an emailed quote listing every surface, the prep, the coats and the product.
Colour picked, cupboards emptyYou approve
You approve the quote and settle on a colour before we start, since a change halfway means another coat and another day. Then empty the drawers and the shelves behind the doors we're taking.
Doors go to the booth
We label every door and drawer and take them to our booth. There they're degreased, sanded, primed and sprayed with two coats of catalyzed lacquer in a heated, dust-free room.
Boxes sprayed in your kitchen
At your house we mask the kitchen floor to ceiling, run an air scrubber and spray the boxes in place. Floors get canvas drop cloths. Every evening you get a photo of where we got to.
Doors back on, blue-tape walkYou approve
Doors come back fully cured on day 7–10 and go back exactly where they came from, with your hardware and new bumpers. We walk the kitchen with you and blue tape, and fix what you mark.

Before you book: the cabinet questions we get
Will painted cabinets chip?
Not the way brushed wall paint does. Wall paint stays soft and chips where hands touch it. We spray Renner 2-part catalyzed lacquer over a bonding primer. It cures harder than most factory finishes, doesn't yellow and wipes clean. Cabinets carry a 10-year warranty, in writing.
Can I use my kitchen while you're working?
Yes, the whole time. The doors are in our booth, not in your way. Once they're back, light use is fine right away. Just skip the scrubbing for about three weeks while the finish fully cures.
How long does a kitchen take?
Most kitchens take 7–10 working days from pickup to reinstall. If you can book between December and February, the booth runs all winter and we can usually start within a week.
Can you paint oak so the grain doesn't show?
Yes. If you want your oak smooth, we grain-fill it before the primer and lacquer go on. If you like seeing the grain, tell us and we'll leave it. We'll talk it through at the estimate.
Do you paint thermofoil or laminate cabinets?
No. The coating doesn't bond to plastic for the long term, and we won't put a 10-year warranty on something we know will peel. We'll tell you at the estimate and explain your other options.
Why not just brush the cabinets in the kitchen?
A brushed finish shows strokes and chips at the edges, often within a year. In a booth no dust settles in the finish and the lacquer cures at the right temperature. We degrease first too, because paint won't stick to years of cooking grease, however good the paint is.
What do I need to do before you start?
Pick your colour first, because a change halfway means another coat and another day. Empty the drawers and the shelves behind any doors we're taking. Keep pets out of the kitchen so nobody walks through wet paint.
Will your quote be easy to compare with other painters'?
Yes. It lists every surface, the prep, the number of coats and the product, so you can compare it line by line with anyone else's. Whoever measures your kitchen writes your quote, so you're never handed off.
