    Before you book: what homeowners ask us

    Can I stay home while you paint?

    Yes. Most people stay home the whole time. We move the furniture ourselves and cover it, and we ask you to keep pets out of the rooms we're working in so nobody walks through wet paint. A main floor usually takes 4 to 7 days, depending on how much prep the walls need.

    Can I use my kitchen while my cabinets are being done?

    Yes. The doors and drawers leave the house and get sprayed in our booth, so they're not in your way. Inside, we only spray the cabinet boxes, with the room masked floor to ceiling and an air scrubber running. Light use is fine as soon as the doors are back; skip the scrubbing for about three weeks while the finish fully cures.

    What should I do before your crew arrives?

    Pick your colours first, since a change halfway means another coat and another day. Take pictures, mirrors and breakables off the walls. For cabinets, empty the drawers and the shelves behind the doors we're taking. On exterior spray days, move cars out of the driveway, because overspray travels further than people think.

    How do I compare your quote with other painters' quotes?

    Line by line. Your written quote lists every surface, the prep, the number of coats and the product. Put it next to anyone else's and you'll see exactly where the difference is, rather than guessing from one total.

    What if you find rotten wood or damage partway through?

    We stop and show you. Soft wood behind a gutter or a crack that keeps coming back are the usual ones. Nothing that changes the price happens until you've seen it and said yes. And we'll tell you when the smaller job is all your walls or cabinets really need.

    What happens on the last day, and after?

    We walk every room with you and a roll of blue tape, and fix whatever you mark before we leave. You keep leftover paint labelled by room and colour, plus a small touch-up kit. Jordan calls a month later to check in. Your warranty is in writing: 10 years on cabinets, 4 on interiors, 6 on exteriors, and it transfers if you sell.

    When is the best time to book an exterior or cabinet job?

    We're booking exteriors for May and June now; most people call between February and April, because spring and summer fill up fast. Most houses take 3 to 6 working days, with the weather setting the schedule. For cabinets, December to February is best: the booth runs all winter and we can usually start within a week.
